Prioritization in a nutshell

Parameters:

  • Known genes: candidate genes will be evaluated (proximity) with respect to the known genes. Thus, they should represent some biological process of interest.
  • Candidate genes: can be any set of genes (that are not already provided in the known genes, otherwise they will be discarded from the candidates). If left blank, the rest of the genome is prioritized.
  • Perform a Leave-one-out cross validation to evaluate the performance of the prioritization based on the provided known genes.
  • data source(s): prioritization by proximity will be performed for each data source separately, then fused to obtain a final global prioritization.
